I got a book from Italy a while back,
"MASCHITO
La Prima Repubblica in Italia"
It is about the partisans fighting the Nazi's during World War
II.
It is written
by Michele Mancino.
I may translate excerpts some day. I have found references
to the Bochicchio family
Cancianelli family, Gugliemucci family, and the Donato
family (listed in the immigrant
chart, above). I'm not yet sure if all are
from Maschito, or just the area of Potenza
around Maschito.

I'm looking for another publication, "La Repubblica di
Maschito" Edizioni del Sud, Bari, 1982. If you have
a lead on this book, I would
appreciate an e-mail.
